Cristina is mentioned in some of the categories in this weeks rounds of the Tubey Awards, if you want to show some love to our girl. Like "Most Redemptive Character in a Sucky Show". Voting starts here.

According to the LA Times, Grey's Anatomy won a Prism Award tonight - I'm not sure in which category, as it was nominated in two. Kevin McKidd and Sandra Oh did not win in their respective categories but they won in our hearts, right?

Update! GA won for the "Suicide is Painless" episode in Season Six (Owen's flashbacks to Iraq), and was also nominated for the multi-episode arc from the beginning of Season Seven ("With You I'm Born Again"/"Shock to the System"/"Superfreak").

Since no one here put anything about this in this cumminity, that makes me  wonder whether something about voting for Sandra Oh is allowed to be here, so if I break the rule, feel free to delete it.

Here is Kevin McKidd accepting his Prism Award for the PTSD storyline. Warning for acute honourable and gentlemanly words. Seriously, if you already didn't adore him ...

[identity profile] angelamermaid.livejournal.com
McKidd’s portrayal a doctor fraught with post traumatic stress syndrome due to his tour of duty in Iraq on “Grey’s Anatomy” won the Prism Award for Performance in a Drama Series Multi-Episode Storyline. He admitted to having been insecure over whether he could pull off the demands of the role when Shonda Rhimes first talked to him about it, and subsequently dove into researching PTS by reading and talking to veterans. He thanked Rhimes and his leading lady Sandra Oh, ABC and his wife for making it all possible.
