News came out today that Sandra Oh will leave Grey's Anatomy at the end of Season 10. Kevin McKidd will remain on the show.

I'm glad that we know this at the start of the season, instead of having it dropped on on us at the end, like Mexie.

I think I will stop watching the show live, and let it go to PVR, so I can fast-forward through the non-Cristina or Owen parts. I'll stay for Kevin McKidd.

And I will continue to write my Parentverse, I have stories I want to tell, and it's already established as an alternate-universe.

I haven't even bothered to watch the show this season. At least this way I can stop hoping they somehow save this couple. And fortunately we will still have your stories :)

I guess at this point I can only hope Cristina dies. And I hate saying that. But I cannot bear the thought that she would move on in some way and leave Owen behind.

I, too, will continue to watch in support of Kevin McKidd.

Should the show continue into S11 and beyond (which IMO is far from certain, despite what the network says), it will be very difficult to watch Owen with another love interest but what can you do? And, in the end, these are fictional characters. I keep telling myself that...LOL!

I do NOT want Cristina to be killed off. There's been so much of that.

Plus, if Cristina lives (I imagine she'll go off somewhere for some fabulous medical/professional opportunity) she can come back to claim her man in the final season. I read that Sandra is willing to return for the Series Finale and maybe even a short arc in the final season. Sure the SL would likely be contrived at that point but whatever. I'd still take it if it gives us our "happy" CO ending onscreen.

In the meantime, I am grateful for the many wonderful AUs created including Angela's Parentverse, the GA .5 series, and so many other stories too numerous to mention by terrific authors. IMO the CO story can end however we wish. We are in control of our own imaginations. No more relying on GA writers...LOL!

And, as I said, IMO the future of GA is far from certain at this point. I think TPTB are watching the reaction to Sandra's departure very carefully. In the end I think it will come down to Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey. Because, really, can GA go forward without Meredith and Derek?

I used to feel certain EP and PD would bolt after this extension (through S10) but now I'm not sure. PD may stay even though he seems creatively bored at this point because he likes the people and the money underwrites his racing, which is his real passion. And, as my husband always says, what's EP got better to do than to ride this train a bit longer? She is the cornerstone of the show. Plus, he's convinced we'll never see her again after GA ends.

It's really hard to imagine GA without The Twisted Sisters (even though for us Coconuts the loss of Crowen is, of course, exponentially worse). Shonda has always written Meredith/Cristina to be the true core relationship of GA.

I'll be veeeery interestested to see how his all plays out. If EP and/or PD leave, S10 may well be the last. And in that case, Crowen might just get their "happy ending" after all. If EP/PD stay, then we soldier on and see what happens and hope for the best, while preparing for the worst...a motto that's served me well. tcn...

When I first saw this, I was so sad, but then I read where Kevin McKidd had said he hoped Cristina didn't get killed off. I was thinking, that's so sad! To have to worry about your "true love" being killed off?? But then I was thinking about what I wanted to happen to her character, and I definitely would rather her not die either. I think it would actually be kind of nice if somehow they could make it where Owen gets Cristina a job somewhere or some kind of opportunity to go do something, like a fresh start kind of thing.
